Bicyclist arrested while carrying stolen goat

It’s a crime you don’t hear about every day. A Rhode Island man is accused of stealing a goat from a Seekonk family, all to settle a bad debt.

According to officers, Tania DaSilva saw 50-year-old Anthony Pereira Sunday morning riding away from her family’s Elm St. home on a bicycle. She said he was also carrying a goat he had taken from their barn.

When police stopped Pereira a short time later, they said he was riding his bicycle and was still carrying the goat.

Pereira told police he stopped by the home because DaSilva’s father, Alberto, owed him money for work he had done on the property. However, when no one answered the door, he decided to take the goat instead.

Police arrested Pereira on three warrants and charged him with breaking and entering for a misdemeanor and larceny over $250.

Pereira was arraigned Monday at Taunton District Court. The case has been continued to Oct. 14.

The goat was returned to the DaSilva family unharmed.

In Orlando, a 27 year-old cross-dressing prostitute is now behind bars after allegedly holding a man at knife point.

Don’t mess with a tranny hooker - she’ll cut you!

Friday night, Michael Thomas was arrested after pulling into a gas station where two deputy sheriffs were conducting a traffic stop.

That’s when the victim, a 27 year-year old man, was in the car with Thomas and started to yell to the officers that he was being robbed.

According to the victim, Thomas had a long-blade knife in the car pointed at him.

The victim told the officers that he was at an “Adult” store when he was approached by Thomas.

Thomas then got into the car and demanded money, but the victim apparently got scared and began to drive away.

That’s when Thomas pulled out the knife.

Thomas, however, told the cops that it was the victim who had approached him for an “all nighter.”

He added, “I did not rob him. He picked me up for and wanted to get some drugs with me.”

However, Thomas was found with several hundreds of dollars in his back pocket, which was almost the same amount reported by the victim.

And this isn’t the first incident.

It turns out that Thomas has a record of dressing up in drag and robbing clients at knife-point.

How rude!!!!

Thankfully, Thomas was arrested this time and charged with robbery with a deadly weapon, drug paraphernalia, and prostitution.

But, seriously, how fucked must you be to actually want to pay for with that tranny????

We mentioned yesterday how Olympic Gold medalist, Brendan Hansen, had his gold medal “stolen” from him while flying back home this week.

Hansen won his gold medal in the 400 medley relay with Michael Phelps.

Well, there’s some good news finally.

The medal has been found!

Turns out a passenger found Hansen’s medal and turned it in to the authorities.

And, although this is great news, we’re just a little bit curious as to where the medal was found and how it got there.

In the end, what matters is that he got his medal back. Right?

How low to steal this from an athlete!

A recent Olympian has just reported his medal .

Brendan Hansen won his gold medal in a four-by-100 meter medley relay with Michael Phelps. He also finished fourth in the individual breaststroke.

Hansen was on a flight home to Austin from Philadelphia, with one quick stop in Nashville before arriving home.

But according to Hansen, he says he last saw the medal at the Philadelphia International Airport when a TSA official checked his backpack.

Hansen was in Philadelphia to appear on Good Day Philadelphia and also receive the Liberty Bell Award.

It’s still not clear whether the medal went missing in Austin, Nashville, or Philadelphia.

Cops are still trying to determine if Hansen took the medal out of the plane or if it was from him.

Let’s hope they find it.

What do you think of Bank of America’s “Keep The Change” program? How it works is every purchase you make with your BoA debit card you make gets rounded up to the next dollar. The difference between that and the actual price gets moved from your checking to your savings account. The idea is to help people save. Good idea, but there’s some potential downsides I can see:

1) It can unconsciously rationalize spending. Some part of your brain is going, “It’s ok, I’m saving.”

2) Personally, I only use my debit card to withdraw money from the ATM. I don’t want my account number getting off some insecure store PIN pad, and paying only in cash encourages wiser spending.

3) If you’re going to do this program, at least once a month move the money from the savings to an online savings account. Interest rates at brick and mortar banks are like .0crap, online you can get upwards of 3% right now.

One neat thing is that for the first 3 months, they will match everything you save 100%. After that, 5% of your purchases up to $250.

The deal has been around for a while, we wrote about it in 2005, but a new smarmy ad campaign (the one that goes, “This is America. Do we let the sun just shine or the wind just blow? No, we put them to work.”) and recent events, made me think we could revisit it. What do you think? Is this a handy program, or the Diet Coke of savings plans? Leave your thoughts in the comments.
