[Celebrities get paid to look good and serve as a style guide to all us common folk, and part of looking good is flaunting their totally awesome fashion sense. Each week, I will be highlighting my Style Idol of the week: a celebrity who consistently shows keen fashion sense and whose closet I would raid in a heartbeat. Of course, no celebs are immune to the occasional “what the hell were they thinking?” moment, but for the most part, these celebs look foxy and fabulous and inspire us all to do the same.]

My favorite fashion-conscious celeb this week is Miss Leighton Meester. Since becoming a bonafide star after Gossip Girl came to the silver screen last fall, this girl can be seen all over the young Hollywood circuit consistently looking put-together and gorgeous.

I love how she puts young and modern spins on classics, and while she’ll vamp it up with short skirts or backless dresses, she never crosses the line into Slutville. Not only does she choose the right clothes for her personal style, coloring and body-type, she accessorizes fabulously well and knows how to mix & match appropriately. (more…)

Like any new daddy, Casey Aldridge, baby daddy of Jamie Lynn Spears, took some pictures of his new family.

Awwww.

Then the idiot took the pics to his neighborhood Wal-Mart to get developed. Because why wouldn’t the boyfriend of a millionaire want to get a deal on his digital prints?

And what happened? Obviously, the under-paid employee of America’s most controversial store made extra copies of the pics and is shopping them around to the tabloids. Normally this wouldn’t be a huge deal, except for the fact that the pictures included shots of JL breastfeeding her newborn.

Yup! Another celebrity boob is exposed.

The Spears family and local authorities are looking into this whole scandal, but dirty dudes everywhere (Jamie Lynn is a minor!) are patiently waiting those pics.

Just remember this the next time you want to save a few cents on those pictures of yours; you never can trust the photo dude.

As we reported earlier, Travis Barker and celebrity music spinner, DJ AM were critically injured after their Learjet 60 crashed during takeoff from South Carolina’s Columbia Metropolitan Airport, just before midnight on Friday. The plane was headed for Van Nuys, CA.

The former Blink 182 drummer, Baker, and DJ AM are in critical condition and being treated for severe burns at an Augusta, Georgia burn center.

Barker was transported by ground to the burn facility from the site of the crash.

DJ AM was airlifted.

Four people died in the crash.

The deceased have been identified as pilot Sarah Lemmon, 31, of Anaheim Hills, CA co-pilot James Bland, 52, of Carlsbad, CA, Chris Baker, 29, of Studio City, CA, and Charles Still, 25 of Los Angeles, CA.

Chris was Travis’s assistant.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to their families.

The plane crash is still under investigation, however, during a press conference late Saturday morning a spokeswoman for the National Transportation Safety Board revealed that the plane overran the airstrip and proceeded to run into a number of the airport’s lights and antenna.

Air traffic controllers reportedly “saw sparks coming from the runway” before the crash. Investigators don’t know if that was from the aircraft or its engines.

A South Carolina resident named William Owens was driving down a highway next to the airport when he said he saw a fireball go across the road. He told local TV station WIS News 10:

“I didn’t know what I had seen — it was maybe 800 feet in front of me, but as I approached it closer though I made out a fire. By then I was able to see the tail of the jet and I recognized it as a jet,” Owens said.

Owens then described what he saw as he tried to make it to the wreckage.

“It’s in flames and the fuel is running across the road and I had to cross the fuel to get to the two guys that seemed to have been dumped on the highway,” Owens said.

Owens said the two men (Travis and DJ AM!) were running around and stripping down to extinguish themselves. He then asked the men if there was anyone else on board the plane and they said four more were with them.

“We turned to the jet to try and see if there was anything we could do, but immediately, there was nothing anyone could do,” Owens said.

Travis and AM were in Columbia, South Carolina Friday night for a T-Mobile sponsored concert at Five Points, a popular shopping district.

Musicians Perry Farrell and Gavin DeGraw were also part of the festivities. Their reps confirmed to us that they WERE NOT on the plane that crashed.

So sad, sad, sad.

So we’ve found out a bit more about how the youngest of the Jonas Brothers trio spent his birthday this week.

Not only did Nick get a new Golden Retriever puppy named Elvis, he also spent a day at a Dodgers game.

Except, they were the ones playing.

Wednesday night, the Jonas Bros took Nick to Dodgers Stadium.

A source says, the family “rented out the stadium last night to play a baseball game with some friends.”

Rollin’ large!

They met up with at least 15 other friends and played from 10pm to a bit past midnight.

And that wasn’t cheap!

For Nick’s Sweet 16th present, the cost was over $30,000 for just under three hours of playing.

Turns out that just renting the stadium costs $25,000. But then to use the lights for a night game, that’s an extra $5,000!

Then food and drinks can go for around $500, and if you bring your own music, it’s another $500 to play them on the speakers.

Oh, and you can even opt to hire baseball players, staff members, and amenities for extra charges.

As for the JoBros, they opted to keep it simple and even decided to bring their own uniforms.

They were spotted earlier that day at a sporting goods store buying athletic pants and shirts.

Hope they had a good time.

We mentioned on Wednesday that Brad Pitt gave $100,000 to fight the passage of Proposition 8, an amendment that would outlaw gay marriage in California.

Pitt’s donation was the biggest A-list donation the campaign has seen to date.

It’s hard to believe that newlyweds Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi have not given a penny to the cause, as claimed by a new report. Rosie O’Donnell and Elton John have failed to donate too.

Geoff Kors, the executive director spearheading the effort to fight Prop 8 said, “We have raised a record $11 million to fight Prop 8. Unfortunately, the other side has raised $16 million and is raising money at a feverish pace. We need to catch up and match them dollar for dollar. With an expected 13 million voters and the most expensive media markets in the nation, it takes tens of millions of dollars to get your message out. If we can get our message out at the same rate as they can, I believe we will win. But if they continue to have more resources, it will be very difficult for us to prevail.”

In addition to celebs, LGBT entertainment power players like Desperate Housewives creator Marc Cherry are ‘missing’ from the donor rolls.

Let’s all step up to the bat to fight for equality and donate!

Damn! That’s a lot of years!

And, Tomoji Tanabe of Miyakonojo in southern Japan says he wants to live ten more years! He intends to do this by continuing to eat mostly vegetables and to indulge in his favorite - fried shrimp - only occasionally.

He believes the key to longevity is a life of sobriety. That’s right, no alcohol.

That doens’t bode well for our fave Hallywood shIt Girls!

The local mayor presented Tanabe with flowers and a giant tea cup glazed with his name and date of birth as a gift. Arigato!
